17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Charges Defendant in Fatal Thornton Hit and Run Crash on New Year's Day

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of a Leaving the Scene of an Accident charge against Adam Wooley, 33, for his alleged actions related to the death of a 22-year-old pedestrian on I-25 in Thornton on January 1, 2023. 

Wooley's charges include:
  • Leaving the Scene of an Accident (F3)

Case number 2023CR000017 was filed in Adams County District Court. Wooley's next court appearance will be on January 17, 2023, at 1:30pm. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
