17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft Charge Against Domenic Aguilar


Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of charges against Domenic Aguilar, 25. Aguilar is charged with Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft and various other charges for allegedly fleeing Westminster Police in a stolen vehicle and entering an occupied home to evade law enforcement on June 14, 2022. 

Aguilar's charges include:
  • First-Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft--With Two or More Priors (F3)
  • First-Degree Criminal Trespass (F6)
  • Resisting Arrest (M2)
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer (M2)
  • Duty Upon Striking an Unattended Vehicle (T2)
  • Careless Driving (T2)
Case number 2022CR001835 was filed in Adams County District Court. Aguilar's next court appearance will be on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 1:30pm. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
