17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files Charges in Fatal Thornton Mother's Day Crash


Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of charges against Patrick Eisiminger, 43. Eisiminger is charged with various offenses for his alleged role in a crash that killed one victim and injured four others on Mother's Day (May 8, 2022) near 84th Avenue and Washington Street in Thornton. 

Eisiminger's charges include:
  • Vehicular Homicide (F3 DUI)
  • Vehicular Homicide (F4 Reckless)
  • Vehicular Assault (F4) (2 counts)
  • Vehicular Assault (F5) (2 counts)
  • Third-Degree Assault (M1) (2 counts)
  • Compulsory Insurance (T1)
  • Driving Under Restraint (TIA)
  • Violation of a Protection Order (M1)
Case number 2022CR001422 was filed in Adams County District Court. Eisiminger's next court appearance will be on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2:30pm in Courtroom R2.

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
