17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Files First-Degree Murder Charges Against Nicholas Villarini


Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of charges against Nicholas Villarini, 27, for his alleged actions on October 26, 2021, in Brighton. Two victims were killed as the result of a crash following a pursuit that involved Brighton Police and Villarini.
Villarini’s charges include:
 
  • Murder in the First Degree (F1) (2 Counts)
  • Assault in the First Degree (F3)
  • Vehicular Eluding (F3, 2 Counts) (F4 1 Count)
  • Driving Under Restraint (M)
 
Case number 2021CR003553 was filed in Adams County District Court. Villarini’s next scheduled court appearance is on January 28, 2022, at 9:00am.  

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
