Defendant Accused of Shooting, Injuring Police Officer and 8-Year-Old Boy; Fatally Shooting Two Other Men


Brighton, CO —The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the commencement of the First-Degree Murder trial of D’Marcus Jones-Brown, which will begin Monday, May 17, 2021. Mr. Jones-Brown is accused of fatally shooting two men as well as shooting and injuring a police officer and an 8-year-old boy on August 31, 2018.

Please note, the filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
