17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Attempted Murder Charges Against Mark Jackson

Brighton, CO – The District Attorney’s Office announced today the filing of charges against Mark Jackson, 18, related to an alleged shooting at a gas station in the 3200 Block of Peoria Street in Aurora on April 4, 2025. 

Jackson is charged with: 

  • 1st-Degree Attempted Murder (F2) (12 Counts)
  • 1st-Degree Assault (F3) 
  • Crime of Violence (SE) (13 Counts)
  • Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (F5)
  • Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender (F5)
  • Criminal Mischief (M2)
Case number 2025CR1060 was filed in Adams County District Court. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed offense(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
