17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Harassment Charge Against Denver Police Officer

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of a Harassment charge against Dat Truong, 32, who is an officer with the Denver Police Department. The filing is based on the allegation that Officer Truong struck a juvenile who was in custody following an arrest on November 3, 2023, in the area of I-225 and Colfax. 

Truong is charged with:  
  • Harassment (M1)
Case number 2024M000435 was filed in Adams County. Truong's next court date is scheduled for March 5, 2024, at 8:30am in Courtroom R. Questions about Officer Truong's employment should be directed to the Denver Police Department. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
