17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Files Second-Degree Murder Charge Against Nurendy Ropon

Brighton, CO —Today, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is announcing the filing of a Second-Degree Murder charge against Nurendy Ropon, 22, for allegedly fatally stabbing a 33-year-old victim on July 13, 2023, along Alton Street in Aurora. 

Ropon is charged with:  
  • Second-Degree Murder (F2)
  • Menacing (F5)
Case number 2023CR2125 was filed in Adams County District Court. Ropon's next court appearance is on July 19, 2023, at 1:30pm in Courtroom R2. 

The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual(s) committed a crime(s) under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo RPC 3.6.
